Piaroo’s Wish – Helping the Homeless and Vulnerable in Reading, is a non faith community group based in the centre of Reading in Berkshire. Founded by Satty Mann in 2015, and now running with the help of the dedicated committee, Piaroo’s Wish is now one of the largest groups in Reading in this niche.
We meet weekly to provide support and assistance in a number of ways to the homeless and vulnerable. Running solely thanks to volunteers and donators, we provide support, information, clothing, toiletries, food and occasional workshops.
Our work doesn’t stop there though, as when our guest have found their feet with accommodation, we try our best to source products to make their house a home. Again this is all down to the kind volunteers and donators who help us either regularly, less regularly, or on a one-off basis.
With a 12 strong committee, and a very large group of volunteers helping us not only in person but behind the scenes, with not a single person getting paid for their roles, we all have one thing in common – helping the homeless and vulnerable.
We’re always on the hunt for more volunteers and donator’s, so if you could help out in any way, please do get in touch. Our details can be found on the Contact Us page.
